San Francisco, CA - Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - The Board of Directors of Folsom Street Events announced the line up of its Major and Supporting beneficiaries today. Net proceeds from four San Francisco fetish events (Bay of Pigs™, Up Your Alley®, Magnitude®, and Folsom Street Fair®) will be donated to local charities working in public health, human services, and the arts. Last year, Folsom Street Events donated over $333,000 to local and national charities in need.

Demetri Moshoyannis, Executive Director, said, “San Francisco Bay Area nonprofits are being hit extremely hard by the state of the economy. Many of them are suffering severe cutbacks in local, state, and federal government funding; and, Folsom Street Events helps to fill many of these funding gaps.” Jacob Richards, Board President, added, “We are incredibly proud to announce this year’s line up of Major and Supporting beneficiaries. These organizations are a solid cross-section of the community’s best nonprofits. We welcome both new beneficiaries and historically dependable charities to the table. We couldn’t be happier with the results of the grant review.”

This year’s eleven (11) Major beneficiaries include:

• Breast Cancer Emergency Fund
• Central City Hospitality House
• Dimensions Clinic
• Dolores Street Community Services
• Mission Neighborhood Health Center
• Project Inform
• Project Open Hand
• Queer Cultural Center
• San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus
• Shanti
• Visual Aid

This year’s five (5) Supporting beneficiaries include:

• AIDS Legal Referral Panel
• Healing Waters
• National AIDS Memorial Grove
• New Leaf
• Triangle Martial Arts Association

Event sponsorships are still being finalized.
